Tomorrow night I will be djing from 11 to 3 something at Club Bonsoir in Bern. I dedicate the night toIan Loveday, aka EON (Ian B, Tan Ru, Minimal Man, Rio Rhythm Band) who recently passed away. I usually play a couple of his records anyway - and will do more so on this night. He would have loved to be remembered with a roaring party more than anything else I suspect. So come down and join me for a rave.

The one musician I admire most and who I had the pleasure to know personally died yesterday. Every time I DJ'd in the last ten years I played one EON tune at least... What a loss! One love... R.I.P. Ian Loveday, EON...
My new mix of new club tunes that sound old and old tunes that sound new is now available. It is rather short and rather rough and it sounds like Oldschool Electro and House. Enjoy. Get the podcast or download mp3 | m4a
Bern is really rockin' again. Not only have we got several new clubs opening in the past few years, but we also got some really hot artists and DJ's putting out music. JAGGED is one example. I really dig what they do: Cool Deep House club music with that Oldschool touch - just great. The quality of their tunes is top - en par with some of the best producers on the scene, - they make me proud.... Proud to be from the same city, proud to know them... Big up!
One of the artists featured in the show with a rockin' tune is the fantastic Grampall Jookabox (out on Asthmatic Kitty Records). Just listen to his tune "The One Thing" to get an idea of the powers of this album :-)
The other band is Apollo Sunshine - great, weird, rock n roll, experimental alternative folk music. I love it, listen to the screaming "Brotherhood of Death"!
Apollo Sunshine's "Shall Noise Upon" is out on the arty project label Headless Heroes.

I admire Weatherall for his style and the fact that since years he keeps making and discovering brilliant low down 'n' dirty music, - be it electronic or not. On top of this he rocks as a club DJ. Respect - and bless him.
Check out one of his latest records: Andrew Weatherall vs The Boardroom out on Rotters Golfclub

Island Records celebrate 50 years in business this year with, amongst other things: an exhibition; a week of exclusive and fascinating concerts; a book and a series of compilation releases.
Danger Mouse really is one of the coolest people around in the music scene since quite a while... Wicked music, great attitude.. THE producer of NOW. Bless him!
And now working with two more of my top favourite artists.. David Lynch and Sparklehorse... Seems crazy... but true!!
